Data security, HIPAA are our biggest concerns. One feature we had for enforcing this goal was the auto session expiration feature where Therap would log someone out if there was no activity on a page or form for an amount of time.
However, this led to some users having problems of getting logged out halfway between work, e.g. if they stepped away from the desk while they were in the middle of filling up a form, they would get logged out and they lost data due to our auto session expiration.
So, now we came up with this idea of locking a session when left unattended for a long time, instead of logging users out. And this locked session can be easily unlocked! Take a look at the following screen shot. All you need to do is re-enter your password and you can resume whatever you were doing. Send us your comments using the form below.

AWESOME! I love it!
I would love this feature. I frequently get up from my desk and loose my work. Please can I have this lock method?
Great! From the looks of this screenshot, the page you were on is darkened when lockout occurs. To maintain privacy, you could also have the main part of the screen blur or blackout.
I think that this would definitely be an enhancement to the current process, although I do agree with Dan. I love that I would be able to get right back into what I was working on, but I may not want others that come by my desk to see the information. You would need to ensure that the screen blurred or blacked out as Dan suggested, or the “lock-out” window was big enough to cover everything on the screen.
Great idea!!!
Hooray!!! That would resolve the primary complaint staff in this agency make concerning Therap….maybe the only one!!!
Please make it so! I lose my work at least weekly as working with individuals with disabilties and covering other areas pulls me away from my desk frequently and often urgently. It would also be of help to other staff we have who lose information and then need someone to complain to- which is sometimes me- which would in turn help me even more. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! and thank you for coming up with this idea.
Is it working yet? I also think an automatic, periodic save would be good, if possible. I lost over an hour of work today as I opened a new tab to add something to an IDF then went back to my plan page and BOOM I had to sign in again. I lost precious moments plus it really bummed me out
What happens to the session if someone else logs in as a different user?
This would be great! I would love it and it would be a very much appreciated new feature to Therap. Way to go!!!
I think it would be great. That is the most frustrating feature that I have found of Therap. In this business you get interrupted continuously and saving your work is that last thing you think of at those times. When you have thought long and hard on how to word something and written several tasks and teaching methods just to find that it is all lost, it is very upsetting. I would also like to see this comment section more advertised. I would not have known about it if someone had not found it accidentally. So my vote is very much to add the locked feature. Please.
Dan: Good point. We will work on that.
Susan: Its not live yet, we are still working on it
Andrew: If someone else logs in as a different user the session expires. That’s the initial plan.
All: Thanks for all your feedback and support. Hopefully we will introduce this feature in one of our upcoming releases.
Thanks

This is a great idea I have noticed that even if your logged out the page stays up where everyone can see it until you click on it and it tells you you have been logged out. This is a great idea to make sure that you dont lose work but the page should be blacked out or covered either way if it logs you out or locks to maintain privacy.
I was on sick leave and now cannot log back in with my original name or password. I have talked to my house manager and another house manager about this problem but so far nothing. PLEASE HELP!
This lockout feature is great, as i am called away from my desk often.
As Andrew above identified, yes you will lose data if someone else logs inot to your locekd out computer. This is a huge flaw, as many agencies share computers at few desks.
The “other” autosave feature not yet instituted:
Where does the data go when you navigate away from the screen you are entering text inot. It happens accidentially too often that on a GER, writing an IPOP, or an ISP Program (any Therap application there are lots of little windows and fields to navigate in between).
I am beating the “War Drum” about this issue, as so many people are regularly complaining about this issue where I work. What is worse, it is often an excuse to walk away from the computer (in cursing frustration of course), and work languishes unfinished.
Please develop an “Autosave feature” built inot Therap that eliminates this matter
-or-
Please develop a “Command Prompt” window that says something like: “WARNING: Data entered will be lost if you navigate away from this page (window), are you sure you want to navigate away from this page…”
You get the idea.
