We are looking at putting more of our trainings on PowerPoint with audio/video and having “labs” where staff are able to complete the training and have an instructor available for questions/etc. There would be competency based testing following the training.

These “labs” would be flexible with the “length of the training” as one person may finish sooner than another trainee. We have also discussed having a few hours designated for the lab to allow for people to come in at various times to help accommodate scheduling around other jobs/school. In the “lab” scenario – would there be a way for the trainer to “record” the length of the training for each individual participant? It would be great if this could then be reflected on their schedule! This would be a verification for the supervisor when approving time sheets.

We also use our routine work area meetings to cover some “required” trainings. The general information would be consistently shared via the PowerPoint presentation with the ability to discuss specific application to their work area. I’m not sure how that would work with this system – but I think it would work fine.

I’m trying to learn more about this as we are hoping to get going with this feature during the summer months.

    Thanks!

Unless Therap’s developers give organizations the capacity to run PowerPoint or other interactive content from within their software suite’s training module, I don’t see how we can expect Therap to log the duration of our trainees’ sessions.
